From 8-9:30 AM I had a team meeting and was introduced to a new team member to replace the one we lost, and her name was Madelyn she is working part time. From 9:30 AM to 9:45 AM I replied to a couple emails from courses that I had reached out to the previous week. Where a couple of the emails included that they cannot assist and our private courses. From 9:45 to 3:30 I did follow up calls to the previous regions that I reached out to. So, that would include Palm Beach, Kansas City, and Miami. I was finally able to get my first lead with a course called Madison Green Country Club for the May 11-12 event in Palm Beach. Spoke on the phone and stated worked well in the past. Just had a few concerns about the difficulty of the course and the length of the course since the events are walking only for the junior golfers. From 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM I had a phone with meeting with the HR representative Tamara Gann. This phone call consisted of my introduction to her. During that time, she brought up the email I sent about how the contract they want me to sign is not the original agreed upon date. She also brought up the role position being in person when originally agreed upon. I explained my situation with me no longer having housing and the reasoning of having to leave the internship at the agreed upon date. However, it did not seem like she liked my reasoning and tried basically give me an option of either working till December or come back in person. I told her neither was an option and she said fine with an attitude that I can end in the internship in September as well as be remote. Then promptly hung up the phone without allowing me to ask more questions about the role. I have heard from other interns that she is not very respectful and is rude with the interns. I ended up with a total of 51 phone calls to courses in the multiple regions.
