From 8:00 – 9:00 AM I went through my previous call list and reviewed my notes on who said they would be interested, no, and those who had no answer. After that point I went through my email and checked to see the emails that I missed after I got off work and figured out how to approach those conversations. I feel like over the past week or so I have received a lot more responses to emails that I have sent out. I am way more comfortable in the role now than when I first started in relation to having conversations through emails at first, I would run to Mike asking how to response to pretty much every email that was sent by a course venue. Now I know how to phrase the generic aspects of our emails as well as bring in personal aspects that pertain to the venue and event to make a very professional response through the negotiation process. I ended up getting a lot of no answers today and I feel like at this point I am calling the same places every single day where I will either talk to the same people in the proshop, or get sent directly to voicemails. A couple of the places that seem to have interest have outside factors that are putting them on hold before willing to sign a contract. Some of these issues are not having their 2024 course venue schedule confirmed, as well as renovations. Especially during these summer events a lot of courses will do updates and shut down parts of courses because it is the slower season. I ended up calling 55 courses today. No contracts signed today unfortunately but hopefully another one soon.
